Monday, snow and traffic chaos

Hi everyone!

As u can see there is a lot of snow outside and I am trying to find out if there are any buses running for me at all today, on traffic of London's website it says that its planned engineering work today, but there's loads of people here who is trying to get to work so something should work. I will let u know as soon as I know!

Ah..there it is... London most be chaos today with all the people that can't get to their jobs, anyway.

I haven't received the brochure print file from Amey so I have e-mailed him an reminder and will send him an sms as well - my suggestion is that he either check if he can e-mail the file to the printer and let us know if he can pick it up after work - or - Maria and Amey, if you guys can take care of the printing of the brochure and go and hand it in?

PS I have asked him to e-mail the address n name to the printer as well. We should call them first to see if they are even opened today.

About our Presentation

Suggestions from Derek. Develop what u will say in your own words but base it on the advice from Derek that we received today, that I will try and pin down here:

1) MARIA - PERMANENT COLLECTION

We are not from here and when we visited V&A we though that the quality and variety of V&A's permanent collection is very strong and we found it amazing that it is all there for free

2) ÅSA - EACH OBJECT HAS A INTERESTING BACKGROUND STORY

We thought that a lot of these objects has fascinating background stories that were left untold so we wanted to tell them

3) AMON - REALITY IS STRANGER THEN FICTION

The idea is that we want our audience to explore and find out so some stories are true and some are false/ it is hard to tell true from false so we want our audience to be curious and to come to V&A and explore

and how we wanted this message to come across:

4) AMEY - LOGO - TRUE/FALSE

5) EVERYONE - DELIVERABLES

Show what we have done and star with POSTERS - teaser campaign, fist poster up for ten days followed up by two more, postcards and brochure. Tell a little bit about one of our stories each - shortly- we only have 5 min in total)

Introduction
Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentelmen. We are Asa, Amey, Amon and Maria and today we're going to talk about our project.
V&A is commonly accepted as the world's greatest art and design museum. Its' collection is magnificently varieble, and there's a story behind each of its' objects.
In our campaign we tell 6 stories about 6 objects from V&A's actual collection (including current exchibitions). 3 of these stories are true, 3 are fiction. The name of the project is:

The executives are both indoor and outdoor: posters and postcards + broshure kit in the museum.
Lets look at it closer.

Summary
Let us now summarise what was already said.
TRUE/FALSE/EXPLORE campaign tells 6 stories, 3 true and 3 fiction, in forms of: postcards, posters and broshure.
Now let us present certain evaluation.

Conclusion
Our campaign what calls for curiousity as the core initiative to actually go to the museum and find out what the campaign is and which stories are true. Its strength is that the campaign is easy to repeat and extend. Another /good thing/ is the interactivness of the project - first, it makes audience interested in what the campaign is, then what is actually true about it. Exploring it and finding answeres may bring satisfaction.
As for the imperfections we think they are ____

About postcards: idea from Åsa

BACK - with hand drawn details from the stories. For the tzar's bear story the place where u put the stamp could be the bears head showing his teeth and the line could be a tsar necklace or something and the Vogue story could have the african mask where u put the stamp and the line could be women in the masks doing different things or a palm tree and something connecting to the forest where the secret society used to have their meetings or something? And the poison story could have this symbol where the stamp should be and the arrow with poison as a line.

Just an idea to tie it more to the campaign theme, don't know what I think looks the best, hand written type or not and I don't know where you plan to put the logo. If we do hand written type should it be the same style as on the front of the card or maybe that doesn't matter?

+ I don't even know if you like the idea :)

The Brief

Hello!

So, we are supposed to hand in a research book, I don't really get why they want us who hardly have any money to spend cash on printing research when we have it all on the blog already?Doesn't make any sense to me. Does any know, do we still have to spend money on printing research when we already have it posted here? And if we do then who of us would like to make an research book or should we meet up n do it together tomorrow after the meeting?

and a version with some Åsa-sillyness where the womanizer Henry is flirting)

 I tried to copy the clothes from the V&A portrait but as its Henry in the bed it should be the same character in the frame. (  my internet is deadly slow today)

Here is the King with a weird shadow and only one frame on the wall.

I think it was funnier with more heads in the bed, but we should probably stick to facts..

Hope u guys like this. They are all a bit different - sometimes texture on text/without + with drop shadow and without.

according to the point that we need to tie a bit closer owr campaign to the real V&A objects we now have the following:

The bear has a collar now) I made it from a tsar's hat detail and added to the story a phraze about it (now in same color that the rest of the story)

The corset story stayes the same, bt the image has a photo from V&A collection

king henry portrait in v&a +new story

Henry VIII was definitely the rock star of monarchs; in fact his trail of divorced wives, ego driven defiance of The catholic Church and inclination towards excess make many modern rockers look like good role models! It is said that by the end of his life he had to be carried around on a crane because he was so overweight. He is famous for having 6 wives; he executed the two unluckiest ones by beheading and even appointed himself Supreme Head of the Church of England so he could get divorced without permission from The Pope. While in power he also helped found The Royal Navy.

Help with king henry asap

I am waiting for the grammar of the story to be checked ( amey your english is really good can u please check it) + if i should draw the portrait from V&A i need to know what's on it so please let me now soon so I can finish the Henry story, thanks!

+ should we not say anything why he had two wife's killed and wanted to take over the church?

I think we should cos its what makes it so amazing so please tell me and i can finish.

Do u want the king image horizontal or vertical? Vertical for the brochure, but do u want the same or different for the web banner?

I will finish the type when the grammar is checked ( Amey u're English is brilliant can u check the grammar on Amon's king henry story?) but what do u think about putting the story in an gold frame ( i will draw more details on it if u guys like it) I think that could do and then do the small portrait from the V&A when i know what's on it on the side. And yes, I took away the two extra heads cos it was only two wife's that got their heads chopped of and I gave him a beard.

One more thing- do u prefer to only have the texture on the backgrounds or the entire thing?

Hmm... without the object page that shows the bird looking wine wessel it looks like he is holding an ugly bird..)

I know that u guys liked this green slime font but I don't really think it fits with the image, isn't the one under more the same style as the drawing?
