Henry VIII was definitely the rock star of monarchs; in fact his trail of divorced wives, ego driven defiance of The catholic Church and inclination towards excess make many modern rockers look like good role models! It is said that by the end of his life he had to be carried around on a crane because he was so overweight. He is famous for having 6 wives; he executed the two unluckiest ones by beheading and even appointed himself Supreme Head of the Church of England so he could get divorced without permission from The Pope. While in power he also helped found The Royal Navy.
