I'm not gonna write as much as i have done before cos I have noticed that u guys don't read it all, so I will stay short for once :)
We had a meeting with Mike today, he had some suggestions about Amey's True and False logo and also suggested that we followed up the first poster cos otherwise it might be hard for the audience to connect to the campaign so we talked about that the first poster would be up for 10 days and then Maria's corset story would come up for another ten days and then we maybe also an third and last poster.
Mike made another good point: Our campaign is an on going campaign as we don't just advertise ongoing exhibitions but objects that always are in the V&A and I had an idea that V&A could invite different famous illustrators for these campaigns each time they do it to make it more visually exiting.
Work we have to do:
ÅSA - Do type to the King Henry ( i can't do king henry until i get the story from Amon) story, The chinese story and the Dr story, add shadow to the Dr image and a beard on the King + VII. Add The King Henry portrait from the museum- PROBLEM - where is that portrait? I cant find it online, anyone knows?
AMON - post your King Henry story on the Blog + the final image for the secret female society that should have been finished today. Postcards, is Maria helping u with the postcards?
MARIA - plan presentation and post plan before friday on the blog so that we can discuss it. + if u are helping Amon with postcards then u are on the postcard team as well.
AMEY - is making the website, the web banner and the brochure. Make sure he gets everyones work TONITE cos Amey is also making the pdf presentation so if we fuck up deadlines we make it hard for Amey - and the group.
EVERYONE - lets continue to post out work in progress on the blog and keep the communication alive so that we can help each-other if anyone gets stuck etc.
Next meeting in college now on friday at 10 and then everything HAS TO BE finished.
The final crit will be a presentation for the marketing and design team at V&A so everyone is there 12 sharp or we will look very unprofessional and I will be very pissed off.

ReplyDeleteab postcards - yep, i'm making 2 and amon 2 as well, we talked ab style and layout 2day.
another thing - we might meet at monday to see if presentation goes well and everybody knows what they;re saying. and to meet earlier at v&a - need to see the place, organize presentation according to it.

king henry's location we need to emphasise the link between story and actual thing at v&a, as we agreed - 6 objects, 6 stories, blahblah))

ReplyDeleteKing Henry should be in the british gallery section cos i think thats what amon said? I am sorry but i gat to do type to three stories and i find it quite hard so i don't really have time to research something we should know already, i have googled it and he gat a desk at V&A but i can't find an image of the portrait amon talked about but i think its okej as long as we know whats on that portrait so tell me and I will draw it.
We are not really doing life drawing here anyway ( i am not anyway he he) so as long as the portraits there i think its okej, cos i don't think my king is very identical to king henry etc :) , as long as the connection is clear i think its cool or what do u guys think? Cos otherwise we might have to change a lot, the corset etc.
I do think that Mike and Luise did a important point yesterday, i think we lost an important bit when we took away the object page that connects the story to the real object in the museum but as long as we stick in what floor and section that object can be viewed and its clear what we talk about, corset, king henry, african mask etc maybe we are alright?
